So here are a few pictures of our hunt from 2 weeks ago. I've got some videos as well, just not sure how to post them.
Just wrote out a long narrative about our hunt, and then it didn't upload, so here's the short version:
We hiked up on top friday night and had a really good vantage point where we watched several canyons, and saw one giant blacky down in the bottom...which was where we were heading up saturday. Alarm clock at 4:30, trailhead by 5AM and we hiked, hiked, and hiked even deeper to where the black boy was, and he was a no show.
We sat until almost dark, then hiked out. The legs were to tired on Sunday to hike so we did some road hunting until it was time for the 6.5hr drive home.
We are heading over to the Tricities this weekend for a wedding on Sat, and we are trying to sweet talk momma in to letting us head back over for the extended weekend.
