are all sheep in WA. half tame? It seems like they'll let you walk right up to them.

they are the same in montana too. sometimes you have to honk your horn to get them to move out of the road.

The sheep around my area are pretty dumb. You can drive within 10 feet of them and they will just stand there and look at you, or they wont hardly get out of the road to let you though.

they don't get much pressure so they arn't 2 worried about 2 legged preditors
its the long tales and wolves that are the problem.

I drove through Alberta several years ago and saw two full curl rams just on the other side of the barrier and you could see the burrs in their coats. Ewes and lambs in people's yards. A couple hundred yards down the road there was a black bear right on the side of the raod. Didn't see a moose though.

Just like everything else, they're probably dumb as posts unless you have a tag in your hand...
Are these Southeast WA sheep Bluebulls?

I've seen Blues sheep with collars too. The herd was almost extinct a few years ago, they were trying to find out what was happening to them.

the top picture is the on the Grande Ronde, the bottom is tucannon.
most of the Tucannon sheep (of the 12 or so left) have collars. Hopefully they can come back, there used to be some great rams.

I have never seen a ram in the Tucannon. Lots of ewes and a couple of kids, but never a ram. The ewe to kid ratio is ridiculously low, like 10:1.
