Good Place to Start
« on: May 25, 2010, 04:08:50 PM »
The following website is a good place to start if your looking into a new set up or if your wondering which arrow spine/broad head weight combo would be the best for you.

This link has an Arrow Weight Calculator, Arrow Speed Calculator, a Kenetic Energy Calculator and a FOC Calculator.
Pretty fun to play with.  Have fun.

No problem.  Its pretty spot on too.  I put in data for a bunch of different setups for the wifes bow.  Before I spent money on a setup I wanted the best.  Based off of that info I made my purchase.  I chrono'd it and it was 1fps off of this websites "guess".   For my bow it was like 4fps off but still close enough.  Hope it helps out.  Plus I know that Todd ID has a super program but at least this will give people a good idea of where to start before they bombard him with like ten different scenarios like I did.  Sorry Todd :)  At least because of me you got REALLY good at your program :hello:
