I use the backdoor a lot.  It is more convenient than using the front door.  I check it every night before bed.  Most of the time its locked.  I just had it replaced a few years back.  It was old and I wanted a new one that would shut better.  The best part is the new one doesn't squeak. The old one would make a squeak every time you tried to open it. This topic reminds me that I need to get a new welcome mat because the new backdoor gets a lot of use and its important to keep your feet clean before entering.
