Back in the Game
« on: June 08, 2010, 11:44:19 PM »
It has been about 11 years, the same amount of time I have been married, since I tied flies.  My buddy had me joint the Inland Empire Fly Fishing club, so my interest is renewed.  I just wanted to announce that I tied my first fly in over a decade.  A littlesparkling dun mayfly.  I shouldn't say little since I tied it on a #10.  Hey, its been eleven years, and everything else in my boxes were steelhead flies since that is what I always targeted.  Anyway, I plan on getting into some of the local trout this summer and can't believe how therapeutic this hobby is.  Just thought I would share.  I will try to post up some of my favorites when I get a chance.
Dreams are forever on the mind, realization in the hands.

Raising teen age boys involved in sports and my own competitive pistol shooting doesn't leave room for much else. But someday I hope to get into fly tieing and fly fishing for trout and other game fish.
