What are the Reg.'s for this?
« on: June 17, 2010, 12:52:13 PM »
With the change of the Nile this year our group is going to hunt Little Naches but because of a honey hole i still put in for a bull tag at the nile since it is close. If i happen to draw a tag at the nile and get lucky enough to shoot a bull what do you have to do to avoid getting in trouble since i would want to take it back over to Little Naches were we would be camping?

If you get drawn then you will receive a permit/tag in the mail that is needed to hunt. If you were to get a bull you need to keep that permit with the bull at all times. Essentially you will need two transport tags, the one you can buy over the counter, and the one you get if you are drawn. If you are seen without that extra permit you will be in A LOT of trouble!

I would say having your permit would be all that you need.  I could definitely see someone calling about a branch bull in a camp in a spike unit.  Maybe a call to WDFW after harvest to let them and the agent(s) working the area know what is going on would be a good idea.

I doubt many would bat an eye as Little Naches has branch antler permits as well.  Just make sure you keep your tag and permit attached to the horns.
