Fishing Hayden, CDA area....
« on: June 23, 2010, 11:53:03 AM »
I am over in Spokane for a while and was wondering what information people would mind giving me about Hayden Lake, CDA, or the Twin Lakes a little north of there. any tips or better areas to fish on the lakes would be great. I am into fishing for the bass and panfish.. I know there are lots of big fish in all the lakes, but I am kind of blind fishing them due to not knowing them very well. any help would be greatly appreciated!!

you won't have any problems finding fish at hayden.  I was there a couple months ago but the water was low.  If you are bass fishing, you'll run into alot of pike, try rattletraps.

Yep my aunt and uncle have a house on the south shore.  Tons of crappie and bass in the docks.  Pitch traps and jigs through there.  My personal best bass came off my uncles dock.  Theres tons of low hanging trees and such too.  Tons of cover.  Night time with a buzzbait on the surface was real fun.  Out in front of the country club is a great spot for trolling big bows.  We caught a few there and all were over 3lbs.  If you head up the big arm of the lake theres a ton of pike friendly weed beds there, but those pesky guys are all over the lake as well.  I love that place and can't wait to get back.
