Sights for the Bighorn.....list part numbers pls
« on: June 25, 2010, 09:02:27 PM »
My Williams rear peep is the WGRS-legend.  It is the basic top of receiver peep.  Uses sliding adjust, and tighten screws.

I want to replace it with the Williams FP-legend.  It is top of receiver mounted and uses screws to adjust (micrometer style)

What part #'s has anyone else used for front or rear sights?  I would like numbers listed to make it easier for the next guy.

I want a higher front fiber optic, but knight did not have any more when I called.  They sent a higher solid front sight.

usmc74,
The part number in the Willaims catalog for the FP series site For the Bighorn is
FP-Legand

The Stock front site Williams part number is
66369 for the fire site.

I would call Williams and talk to them, tell them what rifle you have and what you want to do and they should be able to fix you up. They are more than willing to talk to you. I have called them several times and they fixed me up.

The number is 1-800-530-9028
They are located in Michigan so take the time change in to consideration.
Hope this helps.

Looks like this number is for a front/rear set

Yes you are correct. If you have Williams on the rifle now if you remove the site from the base there is a number stamped in the bottom. Then you can refferance the Williams chart. Otherwise the best thing to do is call Williams and tell them what rifle you have and they will match you up and give you the next height if that is what you need.

I just put the Williams peep on mine and it sighted in just fine with the stock front sight.  I will likely pick up a spare front, for when I break the one I have.  One of the advantages to a solid front sight is not having to worry about throwing up and finding a mangled bead.

Which Williams?  The WGRS is the one I used.  It had to be all the way down (just under the scale) to sight mine at 100 yds.

FP-LEGEND.  If I remember, I'll try to post a pic of where I wound up with it tonight.

Sorry it took me awhile.  Busy, busy, busy.  Here's where my Williams wound up dead on at 100 yds with 95 gr. 777 behind a 300 gr. Hornady SST sabot.  Should be doable for yours.

Wild Turkey, Walleyes, Whitetails and Wapiti..These are a few of my favorite things!!

I ordered the sight (FP-Legend) from Numrich.

It comes in Knight packaging.

They have the silver one also, for those with a stainless rifle.

Remember, a little blue Loctite on the mounting screws will help keep the sight in place.
