Smoked Oysters
« on: June 26, 2010, 01:16:18 PM »
Ok a buddy of mine brought me a 1/2 gallon of small oysters I decided to smoke them they turned out great i used some Jack Daniels Pellets that i had laying around that needed to be used up I seasoned 12 Oysters with Lemon pepper and Dill and the other dozen i used some of smoky okies seafood season he sent me to sample its great stuff

I boilled some water and dropped the Oysters into the pot for 1 min or so just to firm them up some then i seasoned with the lemon pepper and dill and the seafood seasoning then i fired up the GOSM and got the smoke rolling placed Oysters into the smoker at 250 and smoked for 45 min

here are the finished pics they are the best i can do with a cell phone

Huey, those look great.  I do almost the same thing.  I like experimenting with different flavors.  Garlic powder and some Johnny's is my favorite so far.
