Looking to get some California Quail - Help
« on: June 17, 2010, 08:45:08 PM »
Hello all. I am looking to get some california quail, somewhere around 65. Anyone know anywhere that I can get some chicks? I don't want to get eggs if possible. Any info you can give me would be great. I'm in SW washington and am willing to travel to get em'. Thanks!

http://www.strombergschickens.com/stock/gamebirds.php#quail  sold out of chicks, have eggs

http://www.lakecumberlandgamebirds.com/valley_quail_eggs.htm

http://www.mtbulliongamebirds.com/prices.html, for next year

Came up with these on a Google search.  I think it might be kind of late in the season to be getting chicks of game birds.  I have gotten chicken chicks from Strombergs, they were good.

Thanks for the help. I know it is late, I had planned to get them from Lake Cumberland, but THEY CANCELLED THEIR ORDER OF EGGS LAST WEEK AND LEFT ME HIGH AND DRY  :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

Not cool, so now I'm in scramble mode. I sure hope it's not TOO late to make it happen. Thanks again for the help!

There is some one in Monroe WA on Craigslist under farm and garden, who has quail and eggs. Another guy has those Countenix (sp?) quail he is in Preston. You can search the list for others, good luck!

I doubt it's too late as there are a few hundred of them around here, very large broods in several stages. Some are flying some are still striped.
