Watch Trail Cam From Home?
«

Im sure im not the first to think of this idea but i was curious if there was anyone out there with a tid bit of knowledge on making a device to run with your trail cam, homebuilt or store bought that you could view the pictures it takes from the comfort of your computer desk.
I know the first thing you think of is dollar signs but there has to be a way to do it cheaply. Whether its using cell towers of something else.
It was just a thought maybe its just too far out there but if anyone has some input id love to hear it.
Thanks a ton!

Here is one.... there are a few others out there as well. You buy a plan just like a cell phone - it emails the photos to you

there are several on the market, I looked into the moultrie system, but what they wanted a month for the number of images was outrageous. no thanks, also you have to have cell service where tha cam is loacted, which is iffy for alot of my locations

yea i agree the moultrie plan is a big much and where the camera will be there is actually pretty good cell service.
I guess I dont know what im searching for?
Im pretty handy i could take the components and hack something together i just have the brains to draw my own schematic and have it work.
Are the other things on the market like the moultrie or different? Who sells them?
Again thank you guys alot!!

If it could be done, then these guys will have figured it out. I haven't seen it yet, but it'll come along. They're doing amazing work with camcorders for trailcams now, and I'd guess the emailed picture problem is being thought about.
