Scouting BT's 7-17-10
« on: July 17, 2010, 02:33:45 PM »
I got a bit of a late start this morning, but managed to get into the woods just after 6:00 am. Right off the bat I saw this nice 2pt. He was about 300 yards away, but with his summer coat he stuck out like a sore thumb. I took a couple photos then drove off. On my way out (about ten minutes later) I noticed he was in the same spot. I drove on and then turned onto a road that would take me closer. I drove within 50 yards of him for these pics.

I also ran into this two point again.

I saw a few spikes as well as some does and fawns. It was a pretty nice morning to be out in the woods.

Nice pics! Though I won't be hunting this fella, he's sure fun to keep tabs on. Took this pic Friday.

Won't be hunting bt's this year. Late buck Entiat tag for me this year. 8) I have another area with a bt buck that makes that 4pt. look like a baby. I'm gonna try to get some pics of him on my TC. We'll see.
