I'm new to hunting big game. Ive hunted whitetail and was planing on hunting bear elk and blacktail in area 505 and 520 and was wondering if anyone could or would be willing to give me anyadvice on hunting and safety steps i should take while I'm out i was planing on hiking in and camping the wenston area for a week or so thank you all for any help i can get

Welcome Rebel69972. There is lots of bear info in the bear forums. Cruise through and read some stories, posts, etc...should give you a good idea what to expect.

Saylean is right. This is only my second year to hunt bear, but there is A LOT of info on here. I would really try to read through the information. I know that I have found it VERY VERY useful. Heck, I think on one post or another, everything is covered. There are a lot of people on here that have a great amount of knowledge as well. I found that you just need to do some of your own legwork, if ya know what I mean.

thank you all. Ive been scouting the area and seen several nice animals and a few that i didn't recognise. but some nice elk and deer but seen very few sighs of bear but not real sure what I'm looking at. Ive been hiking several miles a day with my pack and shooting my bow at least 4 to 5 times a week.
