AERO Decoys
« on: July 29, 2010, 06:56:43 PM »
Does anyone use the AERO brand of decoys? I've been looking at their flocked floating decoys but have been hesitating because of the price. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also if anyone around Ellensburg has some and would be so kind as to let me take a look I would be gratefull.

I purchased two dozen and then sold them after the flocking rubbed off.  I should have individually bagged them.  I have hunted over better decoys.  You will do just as good with new GHG decoys in my opinion.  If your going to spend the money pick up some Taylor / E.Allen decoys or Columbia River decoys.  Or save the money buy new GHG decoys and sell them at the end of the season.

GHG makes some good decoys but I'm still sour about the crappy customer service and my snow goose full bodies cracking the first day out.

They are a very good early season/not freezing temps decoy.  The flocking looks like garbage in with ice, or frost, on it.  My bro bought 2 dozen the year before last and they have held up ok.  But I will take my FAs over them any day.  The heads are cheap to replace if needed on the aero dekes, like 5 bucks a piece.  But when you pay that much for a decoy, you shouldn't have to replace things.

I will give major props to the sportsmans warehouse up in bellingham though, they had great customer service and swapped me out a couple heads the first time it happened.

the full bodies I have are snow geese, not flocked.
