Getting ready for the season?
« on: August 02, 2010, 08:48:27 AM »
I went on over to Warden this weekend and on Sunday put up a permanent blind of a private pond... A little Hog Wire, fence posts and sage brush goes a long ways...  Is anyone else getting preped for the upcoming season yet?
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

I have been working on a new one as well.  I was going to buy a 12' pit with a cover, but things fell through.  Picked up two sheets of heavy duty hog fence and some t-post for another blind.
Cut em!

I like it, good setup. I started mine this weekend as well:

I purposely made mine a bit bigger as I expect there can be upwards of 4 hunters with me at times, + dog. Plus we are only 1/8th mile walk from the trucks so some of these guys will likely pack a kitchen sink, oven, etc....

I plan to spray paint the metal fencing a dull color to avoid any extra glare, and cover the back 1/3 of the top to cover our heads and whatnot.
