Sheep for me as well, if I really wanted a moose or goat, I'd go to BC as well.

Sheep.  I can get an otc moose tag in several places and I have a tribal issued goat tag (for turning in poachers/vandals on rez land) that I am saving but sheep seems to be getting harder to come by.

I was saving it for my daughter but she wont be ready for a couple more years.  You are right, I should use it this year before they change their mind if it is even still valid.

I would have to do sheep but I sure don't want to make that choice.  Sheep hunting just holds a close place in my heart since my dad shot one of the top 10 archery sheep in Washington and I'd love to beat his.  The mount has been in my living room my whole life.

But I'd also love to shoot a big goat because I know the Avalanche Gorge and Chowder Ridge area like the back of my hand.  I have no doubt that I could shoot a big billy in either of those units and I would love to give it a try.  I choose sheep over goat because I you can get drawn for an out of state goat tag in Colorado or Idaho with relatively high probabilities of getting drawn over a 10 year span.  Only bummer is, there aren't a lot of big goats shot down there and I don't know the areas.

I'd also love to get drawn for a moose tag.  I really want to shoot a moose at some point in my lifetime and I don't think I could ever get myself to pay the ridiculous guided costs to get one.  It seems relatively hard to get drawn out of state, although with enough time you could probably get drawn in Idaho.  But it's just so expensive to hunt them out of state.  I just have no experience hunting moose or even hunting in moose country since I'm from the west side and I would just rather focus on the stuff I know.

So overall a really hard choice, I want to draw all three.  I sure hope this option is never implemented in Washington.  Personally, I'd love to see Washington do a mixed Preference Point/Bonus point system.  E.g. half the tags go to a drawing between the people with the most points, and half the tags to into a drawing as it is now.  If there is only one tag for a unit, than alternate years.  I don't think this would make much difference in the OIL tags, but it would be really nice in those high end deer and elk hunts by not making everything reliant on chance!  What do you guys think?

I chose sheep.  And here is why:  I could save some money for a few years and go on a moose hunt.  But if I wanted to kill a desert, rocky, or stone sheep I would have to save for 15 or 20 years before I could afford it.

That's my thinking too.  Lots of good moose hunts out there for $5-10K, but good luck finding a sheep hunt for anywhere close to that.  And if you're only looking to draw a DIY tag and not spend the $$, there are moose and goat draws in other states that have much better odds than sheep.

I agree w/ the last 2 posts.  From a pure $ standpoint goats/moose are much more affordable hunts.  Plus I've already killed a moose.
