"Little Problem" what do you think?
« on: August 17, 2010, 09:54:05 PM »
Ok guys These are my first trail cam picts.  While they it isn't a monster I have to get your opinions.  Is this little Blacktail a doe or button buck?  What do you think?  You have to almost imagine his antlers.
Hunting and fishing season lasts all year.

That there is a glove box deer!! So small it would fit in your glovebox

When I used to work at the service station, guys would bring deer like that in during the season.  With milk still on his lips, I'm sure he tasted good, but it just didn't seem right to me.  :)

Yep button buck for sure.  We used to call them "belt deer".  Shoot one hook it's legs to your belt and go hunting for another one.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Ya it's small but it's my first trail cam picts. So for some reason having horns (even little ones) makes it a little more exciting.  It's an island deer and I hear they run small but I'll let you guys know if I see a big one.

I bet!   I'm not into trail cams, but hell I take pics of squirrels and post em, so glad you shared.  Looks like an interesting ecosystem compared to whats out my front door.  Its amazing the diversity this state has to offer.  Complete different worlds and yet only hours apart.

I agree.. Getting a pic of even a button buck or spike excites me on my cameras! Hope to see more pics from you in the future.  That guy will probably be a tasty little spiker next year.
