Anybody else here hunt the Nooksack GMU area?

Same here.  I was at 5000 ft two weekends ago and absolutly no bear sign.  I spotted 2 below me at 3200ft.  By the time we got there they were gone.  Look for green grass.  The berries will be ripe in a few weeks.

We packed in way high this weekend and the berries were not even close to ripe let alone hardly maturing.  No bear sign at all so we left a day early.
Go in Lite come out Heavy!

Theres no Bear in the Nooksack unit!!! Better try hunting somewhere down south!!!  :)

Exactly... no bear there!  I was between 4000 and 4500 for most of 2 days thisw weekend... NADA..... Nothing at all,  berries are a week or so away from being ripe.  Got down to 3000 and started to see sign...

It's the only unit I hunt since it's so close to home. I'll usually wait until mid-September and hunt the higher elevations when the berries are ripening. :hunter:
