Peaches Ridge or McCall Basin
« on: August 31, 2010, 07:02:39 PM »
I'm looking for an archery infromation in either Peaches Ridge or McCall Basin. I've never hunted either area and looking for an elk. Either a bull or cow, it doesn't matter as long as I get my first elk. Any tips would be welcomed.

A little bit about myself, well lets see. Live in Yakima, never shot an elk and this will be my first year bow hunting. Been elk hunting for many years with out luck. I do have a nice Firing Center muley on the wall from a few years back but no elk yet. I had five point going into the draw but drew nothing. So I realize that it's a Spike or cow, it really doesn't matter as long as I'm able to get away for a couple days. McCall Basin is in the Rimrock unit and a couple miles up the trail. I'm looking at either area. Any help would be appreciated.

I think it's too late now that the season starts on Tuesday.  Just pick an area and go there.   :twocents:

Mccall is more than a couple miles in. You can punch that tag much closer to the road. Pm me if you want some rimrock info.
