Three week soak, lots of blacktails not so many elk.
« on: September 02, 2010, 09:42:14 PM »
These are pics from one of my friends spots, there are tons of blacktail bucks but not so many elk this year.
Vegetarians are cool.  All I eat are vegetarians.... except for the occasional mountain lion steak!

Archery.  Im leaving for an Idaho elk hunt on Sunday for 20 days so im gonna miss most of the early deer season.  Kinda bitter sweet i guess, but there is always the late season!

Great post and some dandy bucks.  Looks like they're in the nocturnal/Fall mode already by the times on your cam.

Nice pictures man. Looks like you might have to figure out where those big guys are hanging out at during the day and post up a spot when they are transitioning to the salt mine. Good luck. They seem to get a little stupider come the late season anyways. Hope you get a chance to let the air out of one of those animals.
It's not the size of the trophy that make's it a trophy.

Thanks guys!  We've got the spot for great night time pics, now we've just got to figure them out in the daylight. :dunno:
