Well, no bears again this evening, but I'm headed in the right direction.
Shot this guy off of a water hole about 45 minutes before sunset. I was set up and thought a bear might come down for water, or already be in the area, but there was no way I was going to pass on a bobcat. This is my second bobcat, and significantly larger than the first. He weighed in at 24 lbs, 39 inches from nose to the tip of his tail. And 54 inches from the front left paw to the right rear paw. Not a monster, but a lot better than the 15 lb cat I shot last year.
