If I was not going up already for the high hunt I would take you up on the offer. Good luck!

Got 2 maybe's so far and as usual I've got my gear spread all over the bedroom floor trying to decide on a few pc's of equiptment:
Pepsi can stove, fuel & titanium pot (12oz. total) Hot food or Cold?
Spotting scope w/mini tripod (2lb's) or just 7x22 nikon binoc's  7oz.
308AI  Bloodied or 35 whelen AI unbloodied?  both are 15" Encore scoped barrels. The 35W AI has a full screw off brake and a heavier profile but carrys a 400-600 ft.lb's of energy advantage over the 180gr 308 out to 300 yards

Any thoughts

Well, I have to take my son out this weekend to Indian Heaven - not sure I'd be up for a trip up north, anyway, physically....

As for which rifle - which one do you have the most faith in?
Of sorrow and sickness I've known on my way,
But I'm old and I'm nervis,
I'm cast from the Service,
And all I deserve is a shillin' a day.

Good luck dasbear.  Hope you are able to tag a good bear, buck, or both.

I hope you got a good one, dasbear.  Sounds like a blast.  If I wasn't already deer hunting and getting ready to start for elk, I would've liked that.  (I would've brought a rifle for the bear hunt.)

Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season.  I hope you elected to bring the hot food - I was over 6,000' over the weekend and Sat. was hot but the temps dropped dramatically and it turned to snow Sunday night (just a skiff) and poured rain on Monday.

Encore!!
What are your barrel choices?
I like them, nice and compact.
