Couple chuck shots
« on: March 17, 2008, 06:21:15 PM »
I got a couple fresh ones.  i had this guy for about 3 seconds before he departed.  The auto focus was on and pics up on the noisey brush.  I got some other ones on the hill but will have to post later.

These are wild ones.  They are probably ones I have released.  they come and go as they please.  They are mating right now and are really looking for potential sites for laying.  Its fun listening to them call back and forth.  Hopefully they have some good hatches this year.

This is another one that is running around our place.  He has managed to survive out now for 2 years.  Thats pretty impressive with the coyotes, dogs, and hawks we have around.

i raised a few chuckers and pheasants a few years ago. I could never find the chuckers because the were always hiding underneath the pheasants and straw. They are a cool and sneaky bird.

They will hold and let you walk right by.  They get nervous once you spot them and you usually have a time for jsut a shot or two.
