Heading for the Blues
« on: September 13, 2010, 08:52:32 AM »
The wife and I are headed to the Blues this morning to hunt the rest of the week. If anybody's going to be up there stop on by and say hi. White dodge and a wall tent will be us.

The Blues is a big area...where will you be?

 :yeah:

(I don't really expect that we'll get an answer Jackalope, he's probably already up there).  I'm headed up after PathfinderJR's football game tomorrow night.  I'll keep a lookout for a white Dodge and a canvas wall tent (there can only be one setup like that in the Blues....right? :chuckle: :chuckle:

Got back tonight, saw a lots of critters but not a lot of elk. Saw some nice bulls a couple cows a calf and a 2x3. Got to within 50 yrds of the cows with a few trees between us in an old clear cut. Damned wind swirled on me and they were gone. Saw some nice bucks, 4 differant groups of bighorns. Met some interesting people, onr of them drew the bighorn permit for the unit and he got a nice one. Lots of turkeys, wild ones and people. Only thing I killed all weekend was a 10 button rattler.
