Beautiful pic and color.  Young male?
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

That picture is worthy of being blown up professionally and put over a fireplace.    Very nice.. Congrats.

Sweet, it worked.  Well here is the story.  We headed up to the High Hunt on Tuesday the 14th and spotted three bears and five deer on the way in.  Started out on a good note.  Last year we saw 8 bears our first day.  Anyways, woke up opening morning and saw a buck we have seen over the last few years and he's getting bigger, but not big enough (4X4 but skinny, narrow, but deep forks).  We continued to glass through the morning and saw more bears and more deer, but either too far away or not worth going after.  After glassing for the morning, we headed back to camp to get lunch and a nap.  On the way back we saw this bear walking up a creek towards us, so we layed down on a flat area and waited for a shot.  It is not a big bear, but it has a beautiful hide and a cool white patch on it's chest.  I already have a rug on the wall, but my little boys want their own rug, so I think I am going to just tan it and let them have it.  Back to the hunt, the bear then walked behind a little knob and when it poped out, I gave it a little kiss music and the bear looked up and started running at us. I've done that for coyotes a ton, but this was my first bear that came in. :IBCOOL:  It ended up on the other side of a hill about 150 yards away and my buddy gave the old "Hey!!" to stop it.  The bear stopped broadside and BOOM, dropped it in it's tracks.  We were about 200 yards from our camp, which made it even better.  We ended up taking care of the bear and packing it out that day to get it in a freezer and then came back early the next morning.  Thanks again to Ty and Bryan who were with me and made the trip a blast.  Can't wait till I get the meat back......Berry fed bears are the best.  Although the berries were about 20% of what they were last year.  We ended up shooting at a bruiser of a buck, but it didn't work out, so we'll find him and more bears next year.
