On my way back from giving a calling seminar in Montana on Saturday, I stopped and called for a bit and this critter came in to 7yds before he was laid to rest.

After I got back on the road I came flying (80 mph) around a corner through the pass and there was this deer carcass right in the middle of the road!! :yike: I slowed and swerved then I seen 4, yes 4 frickin Wolves!!!! Right there on the little off ramp of the highway exit. One blond, two greyish, and one black  all looking right at my headlights.

I didn't even have a camera with me but my cell phone and the flash would not have been bright enough.

I did however do this  :hello: and slowly took to the road home. I struggled with my decision for many miles on the way home! With a perm-grin on my face I think I did what was right at the time.

I wanted to get out and  :mgun: every damn one of them! Their shoulders were the height of the hood on my corolla and that is all of 36in.

I pray they open the season there soon!!! Game On!

No camera for night pics of wolves yet you have a night pic of your fox you had just shot. Hmm :stirthepot:

Well for you who need specifics it was the landowner who took the pic and emailed it to me. Hate to burst your bubble! Assumptions are hard to deal with sometimes :sas:

+1 for SBA, big10 finally let me shot one, 60 yds on the run, I knew I had to make the first shot count or Big10 would've opened up with the AR. :yike: Now that the late archery deer and elk season is over I should start putting a few more yotes down. :chuckle: :chuckle:

nice job- I got out today and made 2 sets. Didn't call any coyotes but had I walked up on two blacktail deer on separate occasions. Seems like the deer like the rain. Too bad I filled my muzzy tag on a doe cause seasin is stiil open and one was a little spike.

Bullelk,
I like the amount of gray in that dog....cool colors.

I've been chasing deer and now fighting a bad cold.  I did whack this guy yesterday but by no means wanted to drag him back to the truck (down a draw, across a creek etc)  Standing still 289 yards.  I see I need a felt tip marker for the next time I use a sign....

One more for Yote Gami

Nice yote Gringo.  Maybe it's just me, but it seems like there are alot more dark colored coyotes this year than in the past.    :dunno:
