After finally putting the late archery deer season to bed and surviving the holidays, I brought the .204 out for some fun today. The male on the left weighed in at 28.5lbs. Is this an above average weight for this area?

Decker - thank you for putting us on the board.  I have only been out one day.  Called two in but whiffed the shot.

Well Gary, I've been more of a lurker lately. Mostly just check in to see who's killing what. I would post more myself if I could actually kill some yotes. Christmas was good, I got a new GPS so I can tell if I'm on private or public when I go back to WY.

Here we go again.  20 - 25 mph winds and snowing.  I'll take the snow to protect the crops, but will pass on the high winds.

Monsoon here!

2.77 inches of rain in 24 hours when we normally get between 7-8 inches a year.  What a mess... :bash:

+2 SBA  I finally made it out today, the wind really sucks. Did put two on the ground with my new rifle. The first one was a small female, on the run at 240 yds, the other was a 24 lb female at 265 yds.  Also shot a clay pigeon at 350 yds, no points for the pigeon. :chuckle: :chuckle:

Nice job Bullelk.  I wondered where you were at.  I thought there for awhile that you were killing the coyotes, and Big 10 was grabbing them, taking his picture and posting them before you got the chance to.  :chuckle:  Nice looking rifle.

MALE DOMINANCE:  Coyote #1  running as hard as he can but continually looking back.  Coyote #2 back about 80 - 100 yds trying to catch #1.  Coyote #3 back another 200 yds from #2.  After about half a mile #3 stops and just watches.  #1 and #2 go another 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile before #2 finally breaks off and goes back to #3.  #1 goes another 1/4 mile before he stops.  #2 and #3 walk up and over the hill side by side going east, and #1 walks away going south dejected.  Bummer.  That was fun to watch,  wish I had a video camera cause it was across the road from my house in a big flat that's only about 450 yds away.  The flat is to the east and they were running north to south.

Great job BullELk,    That is a nice looking rifle there, is it the new Howa thumbhole Varminter model?
Looks pretty cool.

We almost had a double today but one of us was all tangled up in a rifle sling and sent a boolit to the moon  :chuckle:

But on a brighter note, I was able to get on this one at the 200 yard mark and rolled the dice and his tail in the snow.
