Gary, Leave VV at the house to work on your shower and take the wife hunting.  The way she shoots you'll probably score better.  Win-win   :tung:   :chuckle:

She handed me my ass the last time we went out together, she killed the first two dogs that came in and I missed two, I was very happy with her shooting. She wants to go again but she said with it as cold as it has been she would rather hold out until it creeps back into the 30's, these single digit temps are just too cold for her and her electric blanket wins out over any damn coyote  :chuckle:
Checkin' wind and makin' smoke.

Gary

It's not whether we get together, it's WHEN we get together how many doggies are going to take a dirt nap!

 :mgun:

We'll do it when we can, there is lots of dogs and we got lots of ammo  :mgun2:
Checkin' wind and makin' smoke.

I hate house work, especially on someone else's.  Maybe if you helped.    :chuckle:

What a long vacation, Almost looking forward to going back to work.... Right!!!!!  :chuckle:
Spent more time than my wife would of liked searching for yotes, dogs haven't seemed real eager to come to the call.
This on was a wounded dog I walked up on while walking into a stand.

This was one of a pair, the male was a sly old dog he knew just what to do when getting shot at in an alpha field.  He managed to find the deepest wheel rut & ran like the wind...

Calling at night can be very frustrating... especially when it is 9 degrees out but picked up one nice female..

The 2 on the right were a pair Gringo & I were able to put the hammer down on. Gringo called me up at 2:30pm & said "I was Thinking"  :chuckle: (I Know Funny isn't it) :chuckle: that we should go call this one stand.  I was an hour away, so I high tailed it in his direction & made it for one stand & managed to actually close the deal at the last minute of new years eve.

The one on the left I called in on New years day.

Nice bunch of coyotes this weekend guys.  Great job.  I wonder if Bullelk will get some of Big10's paint and do a camo job on that sweet looking gun?  :chuckle:  Naw.   :bdid:

Don't think that's gonna happen. (maybe tape not paint.)

The way you guys shoot there is no need for camo anything. Hell, you both could be wearing flashing neon lights on your sets and no dog is going to get close enough to you to see ya before one of you kill it.

I wear camo cause I wanna be a Cabelas model     :o

I got 1 down on the wet side just out past Chalatchie prairie store. I pulled up to a small clearcut and got set up. I was just about to start calling when I looked up and see a coyote in a clearing about 300 yds out on the other side of the river. As I put the crosshairs on him I could hear Jerry Melback (although I've never met him) yelling in my head " Aim small miss small". I let it rip and he instantly started biting his shoulder and doing the spin. Then he disappeared. I had to drive up the road a ways to get to a bridge so I could cross the river. When i got to the spot I couldn't find hide nor hair of him :bash:. It was 330 and I thought it got dark at 4 so I headed out and will go back in the morning to try and find him. I know he is there somewhere. If anyone wants to tag along I would like that because it is pretty steep there. We can try calling for another too.
This closet is taken- go find your own

Sweet, Taking a extra second to really hold the crosshairs on the sweet spot and squeeze the trigger accounts for a lot more coyotes.

This guy looked a lot better before riding in the back of my truck all day.  I was hoping for a group photo, but only picked up this one out of four stands.  I was going to write admin in yellow as a homage to Leadslingers, but didn't have enough Mountain Dew in me.

On a side note, I saw freshly cleaned out denning holes that had been done this past week.
Dreams are forever on the mind, realization in the hands.
