2011 archery season is only like 350 days away , cant wait , What are you guys doing to get ready?
This was the crappiest season I've had in awhile - I usually have a deer by now and I only had one really good opportunity at a 2X3 that I passed up and a couple of blown stalks on bigger bucks, but I wasn't under 75 yards of any of them. Usually, I have multiple good opportunities at this point. I did see one GIGANTIC buck, though. But he saw me at the same time and vacated the country. I guess that's why he is a big old boy. Always late season, I guess.
I have a cow tag (yeah, sounds weird with archery) for October so I've concentrated primarily on deer up to this point.
I do need to start working out and running to get ready for next year, though. My wife just completed a Cyclocross event on Saturday, did a couple of triathlons this summer and is getting ready for the half marathon in Leavenworth in a couple of weeks. She is kicking my ass right now.
