First Archery Whitetail
« on: September 25, 2010, 05:18:52 PM »
I was able to get out of work Thursday and Friday (23rd & 24th) to jump over to our wack a deer area.  My buddies were out there earlier in the week and both tagged out so I figured I had a good chance.  Thursday evening after we get out there get on a Fat whitetail doe, but no luck busted.  About hour and half later run into 3 mulies does.  Not a chance in the world with that many eyes and that far away.  Had to call it a night and set up camp.  First thing Friday morinig wake up have my coffee and sandwitch and then head out of camp.  Around first light and not being in the woods for 30 min this guy walks up and it's game on.  Get into a good shooting area and let her fly.  80 yards later he folds up.  Not bad still had hot coffee in the truck by the time we dragged him back there.  Had a blast wish i had more time and not so close to end of the season.
