Stovepipe is dead. Wyoming antelope hunt
« on: September 25, 2010, 09:56:38 PM »
Some pictures from mine and Ridgerunners hunting trip to Wyoming. I will put a story in the morning.

Some of the terrain in the area.

Brian putting a stock on his buck.

My buck we called Stovepipe. His horns went straight up and were pretty cool looking. After passing this buck two other times I decided to take him. I'm glad I did.

Ridgerunners ( Brian ) buck.

Wyoming rocks.  Just back got.  Took four does and one buck.  New hunter I mentored took four does and one buck.  Just an awesome state.  WDFW: hello?

For those that have not hunted speed goats in Wyoming you are missing out.  We rolled into the unit around noon and if we wanted to we could have tagged out by 12:30.  Instead we elected to be somewhat selective and passed on at least 150 bucks the rest of that afternoon.  There is no comparison to hunting in Washington that I can think of.  Antelope in wyoming equals big time fun, next time I'm going to lock my bullets away for 24 hours and look for Mr. Big.  Its tough to pass on buck after buck though, something I'm not used to doing in Washington.
