First Turkey Ever!!
« on: September 27, 2010, 09:00:55 PM »
I harvested my first turkey ever.  Also the first thing I have ever hunted or killed.  Third day of the season only my second day hunting.  Feel very lucky.  I fell asleep and woke from my nap with a flock of turkey feeding around me.  Sat completely still for 10 minutes hoping they would continue on past me so they wouldn't see me raise my shotgun.  They never did.  So I finally stood up, they spooked I spun 180 with my shotgun and had one good shot took it and scored a beardless bird!  Couldn't be any happier.  I have also finally decided to change my username to KeeKeeBlamo.  I was hunting alone and the only camera I had was my phone so the photo's leave something to be desired.  Back out tomorrow for another round.

Congrats on your first turkey..That might be the most original way of bagging a bird as any I have heard.

Congrats on your first bird. If you think this was fun, wait until you call one in and shoot it.

Congrats to you, she's a looker.  I myself am still trying that bird that would like to rest in my freezer.
Take your kids and train your future competition.
