I spend a LOT of time in the Lick Creek area and attest to the fact that there are some BEASTS in there! That one in the pic is a dandy, that's for sure.

My hunting partner drew a Modern bull tag for that unit this year.  Hope he can connect with a nice bull like that.

I'd guess him 350-360 class, would score better if it weren't for his weak 3rds. I'll take him if I see him for sure.

Caretaker - Where will you be camped at during season?  Would love to stop by and see how your hunt goes and maybe let you know what we are seeing if you haven't tagged out by the time general season starts.

BOB33, you might tell me where your camping cause when the spike season opens in Lick, we all dream of having that tag. (even considering there are no elk left in the blues.) That "freak of nature" 7x7 at 20 yards with 30 something cows is still embedded in my head. Why didn't I grab my camera :bash:

Andersonjk4, as of today I am planning to stay in Clarksburg.  I do have a few camp spots picked out by hogback ridge and the cold shelter built by the snowmobile club, I may stay there a night or two.  Will know more this next week.  I'll pm you my cell #.
