Sunnyside Wildlife area

Anybody hunted it for the quail opener? I still can't deciede where to go  tomorrow and would like to know if its just really crowded for the opener. I know its not a secret spot or anything, but if any of you guys have any info I'd really apprieceate it... i dont want to go down there and get peppered. :bdid:

its even less so after your post.  there isnt a worse zoo in the state.  avoid it.

Are you serious? I already told my friend thats where we're gonna go, we really dont have much of a choice since some land that i had access to was burned in the cowiche fire. I guess we will find our for ourselves.

Why don't u try the selah side of the umptanum? I have seen lots of quail down low there and there are also chuckar towards the river.

idk just never been up there not familiar with that area at all. Wat are the roads like?

Sunnyside not bad if you walk aways from the parking areas. Lots of birds there

Well it was sort of a fluster cluck, was really foggy at the main lot closest to the river, and there were about 6 or 7 rigs parked there, since you couldnt see 30 yards we dicided not to go out there because we didnt want to get shot by someone. Found a spot that had probably 300 quail, but the brush was so thick in most places that we could shoot because there was no way to get the birds. We ended up finding some in a couple other spots and and made for a decent hunt even though we had to go to multiple spots.
