Tough Few Days

Man has it been hot.  Walked about 7 or 8 miles today and up some pretty steep brushy stuff.  LOTS of moose sign and heard a couple as well.  Very very little deer sign, no movement.  Got back to the truck and was soaked.  It's really been a tough week.  Great time to take leave huh! Rolled through Chewlah and the bank read 85 degrees.

its been hot here as well. was hopin for a cold front to come threw the last weekend. no suck luck

I experienced the same. I hunted the first 3 days of the season and by noon it was hot out in the sage. Of course I brought hardly any warm weather gear and had to wash my clothes each day after hunting.  The first day I saw over 20 deer and passed on 2 small bucks. The next day a few does and the deer activity really slowed down. No fun humping miles in the hills  when it is above 80 degrees.
