Timberstalker's Second Deer-Tag Punched
« on: October 03, 2010, 02:29:11 PM »
Well I made it out and was able to fill my second deer tag.  It was a very fun hunt and my Dad and Brother came along so it made it that much better.  After the shot I made on my buck last weekend (167 yards) I thought that I would try and get a little closer.  I shot this doe in her bed at 26 yards.  I had a blast making the stalk on this critter.  It was a real experience being that close to her, being that she didnt have a clue I was there.  She was just chewing her cud.  I was very happy that she was a dry doe.  Will make for some great eating that is for sure.  My new muzzleloader sure has done me good this year.  I cant wait for next year.

Nice job Dan. How close was she to the road? What did you use to pack her out, hope it was easier than the buck?
