OK everyone,  I can't claim any fame for this recipe, as it came to me by a family's not so secret anymore recipe from Minnesota. I almost always use this recipe for every cut of venison to elk steaks.  Yes, I have sold a vegetarian on it and most folks think they are having some fancy beef tenderloin when I serve it.  If you have any family members that complain that deer is too strong, rich or gamey, then this is the recipe for you.

Here is the recipe.  Let me know once you try it and tell me how you liked it. This marinade is good for 5 pounds of meat and is best for shish ka bobs.

Take your steaks of your choosing and cut them into approximately 1-2 inch cubes.

Ingredients for Marinade.
8-10 cloves of fresh garlic minced
4 medium onions minced (not sweet onions)
1/3 cup of olive oil
2/3 cup of dry sherry
1 1/2 teaspoons of crushed black pepper
1 teaspoon of ground oregano
1/2 teaspoon of ground thyme
2 teaspoons of salt

I mix it all up in a food processor and pour it into a giant Tupperware container with the meat in it and let it marinate overnight.

Put on skewers and cook on the grill.  Make sure you don't over cook the meat.  Serve and enjoy. :drool:

I am fresh out of venison.  Waiting for the season to open for the thunder sticks.  Once I get something other than burger in the freezer, you can bet there will be pictures.
