CO here I come!
« on: May 31, 2007, 11:07:44 PM »
SWEET!  I drew my 2nd choice (1st was a pref point) Unit 35, 36, and 45 rifle 2nd season tag!  Got some insider help coming from a good friend there that is doing me a favor and providing me with pics, maps, and some preseason scouting reports...  I'm stoked!

That's awesome man.  Hope you have a great hunt.  I'm building points in CO for the future.

Good luck and have some fun. After this year I should have 5 points. A couple more years should give me some pretty good hunts to choose from.

Way to go MJ, there are some big old muleys in that neck of the woods. Have you decided which unit you are going to hunt ? I was going to archery hunt 35 this Sept but have since changed my plans and went with another point only. Hope your hunt is succesful and you guys take some great bucks.

Thanks guys!  I believe we'll be hunting unit 35...
And we'll see if we can make Idaho aswell...  don't have the money to put in for the controlled hunts, so at most it'll just be the general season we hunt...

I have the archery season here, October 10-18 in Idaho(undecided), October 20-28 in CO, and possibly the late archery season here aswell.... it's going to be a busy fall!

Not sure on "buying" a pref point...  I just know that for some odd reason, with a DOB of 02-21-89 I registered as a "youth" in colorado, so my tag only cost me $101!!! I aint complaining... lol

Not sure if you still get your refund if you just put in for a point or not... Ridgerunner you got any input?

Big TULE, where will you be hunting?

I think a CO pref point was around 20.00 but, you have to give them around 300.00 up front then you get refunded 282.00.
