2 days to go, where you all headed?
« on: October 10, 2010, 11:50:46 PM »
Just six more days till our sweet long 9 day general season, just seeing what areas you all are headed to. I'll be up in the wheat fields for the opening weekend, then up the Chiwawa if I don't tag!!

Oh... Somewhere between Mazama, Canada and the Methow.  :chuckle:

Took all the summer stuff out of the trailer to store in the shop and started packing hunting gear in the trailer today. Hittin the road after work Thursday and the boys will drive over the pass on Friday afternoon. I'm really looking forward to getting some camp time with the boys even if it's only for opening weekend.

I'm heading over to my cabin in Steven's county....not really to deer hunt but to get set up for elk. I will have my rifle but have'nt killed a buck in the general hunt for years. I usually hunt the late whitetail season.
Just one more day

We'll I grabbed my larger jim horn pack out yesterday and looked at it , I figure that where I'm going I only want to make one trip out . nasty , rocky , steep , close to slide ridge . just a note it's a good idea to throw a couple of heavy garbage bags in your pack , they have many uses . Good luck to all the hunt wa members.

Headin out thursday night. Gonna hunt the Snake River breaks. Hopefully I can out-do last year's buck. Friday will be a full day of checking out the crop and trying to put a nice buck to bed!
