peep sight adjust HELP!!!

does anyone know how to adjust a Williams peep sight 5D receiver sight for a winchester model 70? the windage adjuster(the one that mounts to the side of the rifle) and if so can you explain to me why its so difficult.,, seriously. and I've toyed with the sight for a good hour and cant seem to figure it out. any help would be grateful.

Move the sight in the direction you want the shot to move on the target?

i wish it was that simple. this aperture cannot be held to the sight when the screws are loosend and the sight is moved over. it seems like theres pretty much two adjustments which i don't understand and there is three screw holes. i took some pics with my cell phone there a little blurry but it gives you an idea of the sight I'm dealing with
