It is a small City.

People hunting on top, and over each other, just to the first to have an elk run past them.
Its very busy  :bash:

Late season is the worst. I normally hunt areas with less animals to avoid teh crowds.

It is beautiful country to hunt but gasman is right about hunter numbers.

I've hunted there for a lot of years and yes, there were a ton of hunters in late season but I've gotten some cows and had shots at some branched bulls that I couldn't shoot.  I bought a western tag this year because of the spike only during early season and frustration of having to pass on big bulls.  It might be less crowded than years past as others may have done the same.

I'm still trying to find a consistent/dependable hunting partner too but unfortunately my tag is for the West side this year.  Hunted the Nile a few years back late season and froze my butt off.  We got into the animals a couple of times and saw 1 big bull snoozing on the side of the hill about a mile away.

Have you hunted that area before ?  Good luck to ya

I hope you are able to find your frozen butt that fell off. Hunting partners are a dime a dozen, it's just a matter of finding that right one.
