There are definitely deer there and I have some friends out there that have gotten a few deer on their property. It is some hard hiking up the bluffs if that's what you have to do.

Lots of deer up that way.  Just finding a shooter can be a challange sometimes.

If you can avoid trespassing, it is nice to work your way down from the top to the river and have transportation waiting. Mom was born on Badger Mtn back in 1922; there are some good hunts on top also. Good number of muleys up there but very few get enough age to be real pigs; consider taking any decent buck.

i live in orondo and can tell you that you will either be walking up or down hill constantly, there are deer around but as said earlier finding a legal shooter can prove to be a challenge. not sure where in orondo you will be at, as orondo is from turtle rock to Beebee bridge but my advice would be to get up towards the top of the hills near the plateau and see if you cant catch one coming or going to/from the wheat.

i went out this am to get a final scout on some land i got permission to and there are already a bunch of people driving the farming roads up there pushing the deer around, about filled my modern auto tag this am as one doing mach 5 jetted across the road on the way home
