That brings back a bad memory I have of elk hunting in the bumping area! I was walking through the brush when I hear something in the brush so I stop get behind a tree ready my gun and wait then out pops a Asian guy with a brown furry coat and a brown duffus hat on with ear muffs flipped up so the furry inside is showing with no orange on :yike: :yike: I told himjust a couple thing before going on my I think one of the things was that I should shoot him just out of principal >:( >:( I will never forget that one :bdid:

Since it's one of Bone's pictures I'd shoot the one thats even bigger and in a spot that I can safely fire. You can't see the one I'd shoot because he is just outside of that picture. :chuckle: :chuckle:

I would shoot him right between the eyes...That way it would split the skull plate, increasing his spread from 24" to about 32"....... :chuckle:

Rem,  easier to drag em by the horns when they move around and if I couldn't hit it in the head at that distance I'd quit hunting. ;)   :IBCOOL:

He looks like a dandy to me, If he gives me a shot, I would try for him.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

I would never take that shot, even if he turned broadside he is still skylined. Where do you think that bullet is going to land if you miss? That's right, you have no idea.

Excellent point Sir..I once heard it said that with the right elevation a 30-06 round may fly 5 miles before landing...

Be sure of your target and what is behind it.  Cross your fingers and work your best sneak up the hill.
