I can't even imagine how low and pathetic a person would have to crawl into the gutter of humanity to tag and steal someone else's deer!!!! I'll pray for him... that his transmission frags on the drive home, that his wife leaves him for another woman while he's gone and they burn his house to the ground... you get the idea!!!

 :yeah:

Its not like the guy found a deer with no one around and decided to tag it, the dude actively misdirected the searching hunter!  What pathetic scum!

Yes.. I was certainly  >:(. Visibly upset by his story.... I'm just so glad he had something good come from it. I cannot imagine how much more I would have dwelled on this if that had been his only opportunity. Luckily we did some pretty extensive scouting and found a few dark holes that nobody else thought to check.

OH! And I almost forgot one of the better parts of both of those stories..

The 6x6 that my boyfriend ended up harvesting:

He spotted its white muzzle from about 900 yards and even in his spotting scope was only able to confirm it was a deer because the thing moved an ear. He used the terrain wisely to close the distance to 140. Just as he was getting settled in for the shot, the darn thing bolted up! He was worried it had scented/seen him or another hunter had scared it, but no... the darn thing chased a butterfly! Finally it stopped its pursuit and took one last opportunity to scratch its ear, and it was a 1-shot lights out finale. :)

Yeah! The only way it could have been a better weekend was if we had gotten Jeremy into a sweet buck! All we could find were true 2's the second day!

Congrats on your hunt, hirshey, and to your boyfriend. Sounds like a very memorable hunt.

It's a true shame that some slug made another aspect memorable for other reasons. >:( Truly shameful. I'll wish bad things on him for the future. I'll never understand that line of thinking. Maybe one of the ticks on the deer he stole with have lyme disease.  :chuckle:

Thank you kindly, Wile. E.
I strongly believe you get your dues in the end... if he continues that behavior he'll get his for certain. Someone else may not be near as calm as EyeGuard.
