dont usually post my hunts pics of teeth added
« on: October 17, 2010, 07:04:49 PM »
But i have to post this old coyote , I feel like i did a good job when i bag one this old , He was a smart S.O.B.
I had a client over thids weekend for a guided hunt , Dan bagged his first , second , third, fourth and fifth coyoye this weekend ,The kid can shoot !!! I think he will be posting about the hunt . I had to close the deal on a couple as Dan didnt get to see them come in . This old boy here was a sly one and slipped in a ravine below us . He wouldnt show himself till i did a lil change up with the sounds and he finally showed me just enough fur to get a good neck shot on him . His teeth were all but worn to the gums and he had a couple of canines missing as well as scars all over him from years of fighting . He was a trophy for sure . we called 11 sets and killed 7 coyotes . My client Dan was really excited and happy . It was alot of fun for me to call him in his first kill . Hope you enjoy the pic , Jerry .

Great post Jerry and congrats on the dogs. We had seen several dogs out this weekend while deer hunting too.

I'm getting the bug now, especially after reading your story, just hope the calling is good around here.

Great job !!

I don't know whats less common, a truly wise old coyote being outwitted or Jerry actually posting a picture of himself :dunno:  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Well Done!

Do you have any close up pictures of his teeth?

Good calling, nice shooting. Great story. Song dog hunting routinely provides good stories.

Nice job Jerry, It's great when you can get the wise old coyotes to show themselves enough to bite the dirt. But I'm kinda wondering who you are referring to as the old coyote in the pic? Kinda hard to tell  :chuckle:
Also tell Jared he looking like a veteran predator hunter, Gilli jacket and all, just like his dad.
