Did Good on the Upper Cowlitz Today
« on: October 19, 2010, 09:26:42 PM »
Landed 5 fish today. was a blast out there. saw lots of them caught today. I lost alot of them. had them on and they put up a good fight. Always have to check your leader out there in the river. The rocks do a number on them.

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?

Back in the day we used to fish from the deep side with a 10' spinning rod on light line with a bait of eggs and a few split shots.

Oh yeah they are still in there like crazy. I have been down there every weekend. 2 weeks ago on  Sunday and Monday we brought home 14 of them. They will be in there until the end of Dec. I was there over the weekend and hooked onto 5 of them and got 2 in. I took 5 buddies with and we all caught fish. One of them ended up with 5 keepers another with 4. I am heading back over there for the day on sat. It is crazy on the weekends. Lots of people. But we have to catch them while we can!!!!

They have been dumping over 1000 silvers a week up there. There  hasn't been a day I have been there I haven't caught anything. Check out the link. The truck shows up with a load of fish 1-4 times a day depending on how many fish they get. Each truck has 90 to 170 fish per truck. First truck shows up around 9:30am. But get there a few hours before daylight to get a spot.
