Kicked one out of his bed this morning.  He was gone before I could get a shot off.  I was about 500 yards into the woods off of a clear cut.  This was North of Shelton.

I was in the shelton area last night and this morning did not see any deer but did see a herd of elk!second year ive seen them in this particular clearing I may need to get an elk tag,did help a guy and his wife load up a spike shot this morning about 10:00am and saw 2 extremely fresh rubs within 10 yards of each other.I can not get back out until next tues. due to work, hopefully the bucks are thinking about females alittle more by then.
