Yeah, given that angle to the moon I suspect I shot that right around the steens in south oregon...   :chuckle:

Yeah, I went down there Kirk.  It was good times despite the fact that all we could find were some crummy little 175" bucks...   ;)

I haven't tried too many moon shots, but here is one from my early archery season.  Bone, here are my settings, but it looks like I could have got a better photo following Pope's advice on shutter speed.  This might have been the same day as Kirk's photo.

Yeah, you need a little more umph with the moon than 280mm.  It's nice to have 800mm or more...
