Last minute venison
« on: October 21, 2010, 09:00:28 AM »
So, Wednesday was the last day that I had available to hunt deer. I had been seeing nothing but does, spikes and two points. Then with 15 minutes of light left, I spotted this two point who had the misfortune (for him) of growing two long eye guards. Took a while to be sure that I was seeing eye guards in the fading light at close to 200 yards. But once I was certain, it was an easy shot off my shooting sticks. Fun gutting and packing him out in the dark. Thank god for L.E.D. headlamps!
One shot, one Deer. Two shots, maybe one Deer. Three shots, no Deer

Dust on the lens, and floating in the air. After setting the self timer and jumping over the log I guess I stirred up quite a bit.
