Southeast WA deer hunting
« on: October 23, 2010, 12:40:08 PM »
I'm currently in the tricity area with my brother visiting our Dad all the way from Texas and would really appreciate some thoughts on where we could try to find a buck or two. We have tried around the bickleton area and have seen a lot of does but still haven't spotted any bucks. We were thinking about hitting up the North River Road on the Touchet but not sure if that will be worth while. . .  I'd feel a lot better about spending the 600 bucks on the out of state license to at least see and maybe have a chance to shoot at 1 Buck. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if any of ya'll ever make it down to Texas I just might be able to point ya'll in the right direction as well.

Thanks!!

Save your money! Seriously WA has to many deer hunters and is the worst managed big game state in the west.

If I were hunting the west I would go for almost any other state.  I live in SE Wa, hunt seriously and have yet to tag a buck this year.  To be fair to WDFW, there are waaaayyy too many hunters in this state for WDFW to "manage".  The only way to manage them, would be to make deer and elk hunting in this state "draw only", and very few people want to do that.
Instead, the state manages for money.  They try to make as much as they can off us, and they have become pretty effective at that.  Sad, but true.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
